Attitude:
BE NICE TO EVERYONE:

NERVES ARE OK!
-here's a quick tip:
1. stand in the middle of the

4. feel the ground beneath your feet,
5. take a deep breath
-harness your nervous energy into laser sharp focus and exploring the moves!
COMING AND GOING:
-if you have a moment and it's an appropriate time, introduce yourself to others around you including who is running the audition
-when leaving, don't forget to go up to the demonstrators and bow/curtsy/thank them for their time!
Be Prepared:
REGISTRATION FORMS:
-usually summer intensives or company auditions have you print out a form and bring it in
RESUME AND PHOTOS:
-have your resume, head shot and dance shot printed and brought with you
DRESS APPROPRIATELY:
-dress according to their dress code; otherwise dress for the part (see below)
During the Audition:
EXPERIMENT:
-they want you to try new things and experiment with the material given, make it your own!
TRY, TRY, TRY:
-at every single summer intensive audition they want to see you can put in the work and have potential to grow
-if you're tired, they want to see you push through it
STAY FOCUED:
-don't watch the directors or panel, stay focused on what you are doing!
MISTAKES HAPPEN:
-and that's OK!
-practice as if on stage, don't let them see your frustration, keep going!
