MISSION STATEMENT

To inspire creativity and love for dance and life while teaching discipline and motivating each dancer to achieve their fullest potential and desired goals.

VISION

It is the desire of Infinity Dance Company to give each student the opportunity to achieve their personal goals in dance. Whether it be recreational or professional, Infinity Dance Company has a program to fit each student's needs. No matter what program a student is in, the instructors strive to give the best education of dance technique. Infinity Dance Company believes in the importance of providing many professional opportunities as a part of the regular education process including master classes, workshops, competitions, auditions and more! These opportunities build well rounded dancers who will be successful in the world of dance.

At Infinity Dance Company, the development of dance technique is valued equally to the development of each student's character. This is done by promoting appropriateness both in costuming and music choices, giving back to the community, promoting healthy competition while keeping an environment of encouragement and by teaching each student the importance of good work ethic.

Teaching dance is more than teaching good technique. Infinity Dance Company desires to inspire young men and women to be the best they can personally be; to be people who are confident, kind, have good sportsmanship, who have determination and who have the tools they need to be successful in life and dance.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

Christie Peetoom

Christie began dancing at the age of 3. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary. She participated in competitive dance programs as well as professional master classes and conventions. Christie began teaching dance at age of 13. During her high school years she was involved in cheerleader, competitive cheer with Northwest Silver Stars and theater. Christie continued her dance training while attending a performing arts DTS with YWAM in New York. There she specialized in ballet and modern and toured performing "No More Victims" throughout the US. The show was performed at high schools, middle schools and churches and spoke out against bullying and violence in schools. Christie has since led a worship dance team at Sonlight Community Church, coached cheerleading at Lynden High School, taught dance at Homestead Fitness Center and Lynden Academy and choreographed a number of musicals at local schools and theater groups including Suessical, 42nd St, Aida, High School Musical, and Crazy for You. After completing her Associates in Arts and Sciences Degree at Whatcom Community College, she attended Western Washington University's dance program. Christie then became a dance instructor for A Gift of Dance. After 4 years of teaching, she became Executive Director.  Christie began Infinity Dance Company in 2014 and is blessed to be able to daily share her passion for dance. Christie and her husband, Mike, also own Mike Peetoom Construction and are celebrating their 10th year in business. They have two wonderful children who also love dance!
